About The Candle Shop

Hi I’m Susan,

I started the Candle Shop because of my love of fragrances and my interest in combining them with candles and reed diffusers.

After attending several perfume workshops at Fragrifert Perfumery, Wellington, I decided to make the change from practicing law to creating gorgeous scented candles and diffusers with premium fragrances and ingredients.

 “I love to use candles and diffusers to bring gorgeous fragrances into your home or business.  The process is a fascinating combination of art and science and you end up with something beautiful!”

The Candle Shop prides itself on making high quality, small batch candles and diffusers.  At the Candle Shop I love to collaborate with other businesses to enhance our product range and also to support local businesses.

One of these collaborations is with Francesco van Eerd of Fragrifert Perfumery in Kelburn, Wellington. The partnership with Francesco results in the creation of unique fragrances for the Limited Edition Candle Collection

Fragrance is at the heart of what I do, only selecting high-quality perfumed oils from reputable and eco-friendly businesses.

The Candle Shop is based in Wellington, however I supply and work with individuals and business customers throughout the country.

Candles and reed diffusers are hand-crafted using premium fragrances with pure essential oils or Clean Scents from Candle Science (all 100% phthalate-free).

The ingredients I use for all of my creations are of high quality and are environmentally friendly.

The Candle Shop, minimises the use of plastics in its packaging and all of the vessels can be re-used or recycled.

I believe you can create something beautiful and luxurious without damaging the environment - Sustainable Luxury.
